Clones can be made from ANY cell that has stable DNA.
I don't think the USA is ever going to clone people to use them as soldiers! Think about what you are saying! You want to mass-produce living beings then make them expendable! This is why people like me vote against stem-cell research.

The clones could be organ donors.

A clone is concious, is self-aware, feels pain, can think... they are the same as a person. Is this not murder?

(shurgs)
give them an opimum overdouse they can not move or feel anything.
or mybe clones are a bad idea unless you are saving a speices
in fact we COULD get wooly mammoths they have found them complete blood and all BUT...this would mean any virius the aby mammoth had when it died would be passed on and that could addapt to humans.

You guys should read the book "The House of the Scorpion"
It's about a clone organ donor that escaped before they could harvest its organs

Eet has no problem whatsoever with using DNA technology to ressurect extinct species, otherwise it is murder - whether one uses opium on the people about to be murdered or not.

Who would eat meat from a cloned animal - knowing it came from flawed DNA?

I think people want to use the word "Replica" instead of "Clone". Machines cannot be cloned...
