He does buy cake mix, then he adds all kinds of stuff to it to see what happens and he stands in the kitchen holding a clipboard taking notes and watching the cake change colors. After the fourth time, he'll just make a normal cake and then it still tastes too spicy *grimaces*

I couldn't find any recent pictures of my uncle but here's one from 2002 And here are two pictures of his oldest son (my cousin), who is also a chemist IF YOU EVER SEE THESE TWO PEOPLE DO NOT EAT ANYTHING THAT THEY TOUCHED!! And you shouldn't eat anything that ANY chemist, including kei-lin, touched either

I'm not a chemist, I'm an inventor...

My uncle is 43 and my cousin is 21. They aren't that young, the picture of my uncle is just old. My other cousins who are the kids of that relative are 17, 12, and 9. His wife is 44 and is always comlaining about the food LOL! Generally she insists on cooking herself but he just puts stuff in the spices and sits in the bathroom and takes notes on his clipboard when the food foams and explodes
Now adays his wife keeps a hidden supply of spices that he hasn't found out about yet. And my 17-year-old cousin has a secret formula for laundry detergent, too! He stole stuff from his older brother's room and used it to make a new kind of soap.
Man... My mom's side of the family is full of cheapskates and guys who can get out of any problem and my dad's side is full of chemists. I mean, even my dad's dad was a chemist and he contaminated the food too, my dad said. What's up with it?! His sisters and his other brother are chemists, too, and all of their children want to be or are.
My dad and I are, like, the only normal people on my dad's side of the family

At least the rest of the chemists do not put things in the food and they do not come over to your mother's parent's house for a visit and spill stuff on the table which dissolves almost-completed essays. That one cousin is a madman.
Then again, Kei-Lin discovered a new way to make shoe polish, so I cannot say that he was mush better.

That was inventing, not chemistry, and I was just a little kid back then.
Someone dissolved your homework?

It was my homework, actually. That same cousin did it.
My uncle considers the explosions coming out of the 17-year-old's room all night long to be completely normal but I can never sleep because the force from the explosion keeps making the door slam shut. If he's going to do chemistry in the middle of the night, can't he keep the door shut so it doesn't slam?!?!?!?!?!
the 21-year-old blows stuff up too but he goes to work with my uncle so I mostly don't have to deal with him.

JEEZ! How many relatives do you have?!?!?!
I only have two uncles, three aunts, and two cousins, all on my dad's side of the family. And I never see them.

Okay then, I'll make a list for you.
DAD'S SIDE OF THE FAMILY All of them are, were, or are going to be chemists except my dad and my grandma and some of the moms who have to stay home, such as Katherine
Lucille Relation to me: Grandma
Fredrick Relation to me: Grandpa
Charles Relation to me: Uncle (Dad's older brother)
Jonathan Relation to me: Dad
Susan Relation to me: Aunt (wife of Charles)
Katherine Relation to me: Aunt (wife of Brian)
Brian Relation to me: Uncle (Dad's younger brother and this is the one who contaminates everything)
Madeline Relation to me: Aunt
Josh Relation to me: Uncle (wife of Charlotte)
Charlotte Relation to me: Aunt
Joesphine Relation to me: Cousin (daghter of Charles and Susan)
Rephaella Relation to me: Cousin (Second daughter of Charles and Susan and yes all four of them are chemists too)
Byron Relation to me: Cousin (Son of Brian and Katherine; this is the 21-year-old)
Kyle Relation to me: Cousin (Son of Brian and Katherine; this is the 17-year-old who blows stuff up in his room all night long)
Alexander Relation to me: Cousin (Son of Charlotte and Josh)
Lilian Relation to me: Cousin (Daughter of Charlotte and Josh)
Brianna Relation to me: Cousin (Daughter of Brian and Katherine, this is the 12-year-old)
Myself. I'm right here.
And Kevin is right here, below me
Jared Relation to me: Cousin (Son of Brian and Katherine, this is the 9-year-old)
That's my dad's side of the family. My mom is much less interesting, she has a brother and a sister, the brother has a son and two daughters, the sister doesn't have kids. Her side of the family is all religious and they generally have the answer to every problem if you can stand them talking about God and stuff

What's up with all the chemists?

|
Post by Robocop on May 1, 2008 6:25:08 GMT -5
I dunno, I guess my grandpa became a chemist and everyone else followed his example or something.
Kevin's going to be a chemist too because he wants to do something better than what his relatives have done and prove that he's the good guy in the family or something like that.
Not me, I want to be a geneticist like Dad. He accidentally takes the other car keys to work and once he dropped them out of his pocket while he was working and they landed in the incubation thingy with some exotic larvae of some sort. Mom was pretty mad about that
