"Attack if necessary, yes. If we are seen by any enemies we know are there, then we must attack. Otherwise, they might retreat and bring friends," Stone Heart said briefly. He shook his head at the next idea, however. "Splitting up... Bad idea, in all my experience. That's how we nearly get killed in these sorts of things. Assuming, however, that this goes as most things do. If things go well, we can split up eventually." He folded his hands, placing them in front of his face, with his elbows on his thighs, giving him a hunched position. He was staring at Kei-Lin directly in the eyes now. It was impossible to tell what he was actually thinking, but it was at the same time obvious that he was planning.
"However, I do believe I have a solution to the location problem. I can deploy multiple satellites around this planet, and locate the ship. It'll take time, but it's safer than going down there and trying to find it on foot without the slightest clue as to where it is," he said. He wasn't saying that it was going to be what they'd do, but he figured he'd put that out there for anyone who thought it was a good idea. "I cannot guaruntee that it will work, but I believe it will most likely fix the problem of how we'll find the ship. But for the sake of in case it doesn't work, we need a plan B. In which case, we may have to split up. I recommend that Kei-Lin and I, if we must split up, do not end up in the same group. For the sake of combat." He scratched the back of his head, then stared down at the floor. He was getting tired, he hadn't had sleep in weeks. They had plenty of time to sleep as they travelled... So he didn't see why not. Once he was done getting the plan out of the way, he'd fall asleep in the cockpit, and just have the ship or one of the other people onboard notify him when they were in the galaxy. "I also recommend that none of us go off alone. If we do, things may end very badly. Now, for that matter, I have a private radio frequency. Five point seven. Kei-Lin, you being a Yautja, you probably have a radio installed in your helmet. Another good reason for us to not be together if we must split up. Preferably, however, we do not split up," he said. He hoped everyone understood his planning, since people often didn't understand his way of thinking. "Any objections or comments?"

Kei-Lin adjusts his radio frequency to 5.7, as Stone Heart specified. "I have no objections", he said. He looked at Eet and Adorna. He didn't think that they would have any objections either.
It's a good idea that they don't end up in the same group either, he thought. They both have advanced mental abilities, but neither of them are particularly brawny, or know technical work. So one of us can go with one of them. That's how it works out best. He snickered to himself at the idea of Eet becoming interested in technical work. He imagined Eet covered in grease and building weapons as he so commonly did... it was a hilarious picture.

Eet also gladly accepts a space-nourishment tube from Adorna, drinks/eats the contents, and immediately feels better. Eet votes for the group to stay together unless we absolutely have to separate for some reason of strategy...
Eet offers StoneHeart an energy tube - he might find it effectively clears the brain of cobwebs and lingering doubts - and waits for an answer. Telepathic beings do not spend their time reading minds or thoughts... that would mean being immersed it everyone's thoughts/feelings every minute of every day. It would be mentally crippling. Eet "listens" for problems and intentional communications and uses a mind shield the rest of the time, both to protect her own privacy and sanity and that of other beings.
Eet parks herself on a seat so as to hear the discussion.
(FYI Kei-Lin, why should I fiddle around with technological developments when I can come to your shop and buy them from you?)

"Yeah, alright, I'll take one of those," Stone Heart replied. He figured it would at least provide him with a clear mind. His mind was usually clear to the point where he could think, but at the same time, his mind was a cluttered mess that made sense only to him most of the time. He cracked his neck again, feeling his joints snap as they loosened up. He did that commonly, just to make sure he wasn't tensed up all the time. Not that it worked, but he tried.
"I have no intention of us splitting up. Not if it can be avoided. If we have to, we will. If something happens to the point of being split up, we work with it. Either way, that's why I hope Kei-lin and I don't end up in the same group. You two can defend yourselves, I'm sure, but somehow I think that if we get slammed by a bunch of enemies, you'll have a bit of a situation. Same thing with the radios. If he and I are in the same group, we can't very well effectively communicate with everyone, meaning we can't establish a regrouping point." He was no genius, but strategies in case of disaster or everyday were something he could come up with by memory.
He hesitated before the last part. "There's one last thing I need to make clear. When we get down there, we may or may not be on the ship. If we have to get off it, I don't think we'll be able to get back on until we finish the job. We probably won't be able to take a break, rest, or anything. It's a rescue mission. So, lives are at stake, and I don't intend on letting anyone die because I had to sit down and rest my legs for a second. I hope you all feel the same way," he said. He looked around at the group slowly, thinking of something else to say... Something else that needed to be put out of the way. "Are there any actual questions? I probably haven't covered everything..."

Eet listens carefully and decides to ask a question. "Do you know what kind of aliens inhabit this planet"? she asks.
She also wants to volunteer some information, "If you want to "talk" to Adorna or I just concentrate on your message. Strong messages, like HELP, communicate immediately. Indirect, confused, indecisive thoughts can be very difficult to fathom. Also, I am amenable to working with any of you as a smaller team so any group will be fine by me".

"As I stated before, no. But I suppose I didn't say it the way I should've. Plus, with another member, it won't hurt to re-state things," Stone Heart said. "This planet is on the edge of known space. It hardly even has a Sun. It's cold. Very cold. And it's seemingly always dark, daylight lasting a very short time. Now, it's so cold that no life grows there. It's all just one big desert, apart from the mountains and few lakes. It's been assumed that nothing can even live there. Well, I hope they're right about no life growing there. But I hope they're wrong about the second part." He shrugged. "And I remember Adorna telling me about your abilities. However, it's a fact that I do less thinking than I should, and work more through instinct. Hopefully, however, we don't have to rely on any of these facts."

Kei-Lin thought about this. Lakes? In a temperature that cold? They must be thoroughly iced... Well, he'd seen wierder things on previous missions. He had no objecton to not resting; he would have thought Stone Heart to be reckless had he suggested frequent rest periods!
Kei-Lin wished someone had known what aliens inhabited the planet... he would have liked an at least vague idea about what to expect.

Listening to the planning session Adorna also wishes she had some details other than that we will experience bitter cold. She is not worried about food or rest as Eet remembered to bring the tubes of space-sustenance which provide nourishment and alertness.
If this is a rescue mission, but Stone Heart assembled a team, he must be expecting some hazard other than cold...
Adorna checks her Wind Projector to be sure it works properly. "That ought to do it", she thinks.

Kei-Lin double-checks all of his weapons to make sure they're fully functional, even though he did that before he left. Better check, check, and re-check instead of not having functional weapons, he thought. Then he wondered if Adorna and Eet had heard that. Probably not... I certainly didn't intend for them to. Finding nothing amiss with his weapons, he quickly put them back in their sheaths and carrying-cases. He rarely used a wind projector; It was good for shielding yourself from attacks, but if you wanted to make an attack, your own weapon would come flying back and strike you... Nothing got in or out of a projected wind field. And Kei-Lin enjoyed close combat: The challenge, the rushing wind, the surge of energy gotten when he tripped someone with the flat part of his combat staff, then skewered them on it and held them up in the air. It had been fun. All of his work as a weapons specialist would pay off now, he was sure...

Stone Heart remained silent for a moment. He seemed to be hesitant about something. "Well, I..." he said slowly. He seemed to be in deep thought. He did really know more, but he didn't want to give it away. If he did, the group would probably want to turn back. In which case, everything would be done. This information would be impossible to get out of him through telekenesis.
He shook his head. "Nevermind. Forget I said anything other than the information I already gave you." He stretched his arms out, then stood up. "Kei-lin, if you want to go to sleep or store your equipment, let me know. Me, I'm gonna go into the cockpit. Fall asleep, maybe," he said, heading back into it. He looked toward the harness, which was currently on the floor, then frowned. He picked it up, then slammed it into the chair. He then hit a couple of buttons, and the mechanical arms came down. He clamped them onto the harness, then let them bring it away. He then sat down in his chair, strapping himself in. He brought his own harness down, letting it lock in place. He typed in a code that would make it so a red light would flash throughout the ship when they reached the right target. "If I fall asleep, make sure somebody wakes me up when the red light goes off."

Kei-Lin walks off toward the cabins. He opens the door to Eet's cabin, finding it empty and not realizing that someone else already lives there. He sits in a corner and begins polishing his armor to make his cloaking device more effective - It never works when the thing it's cloaking is all dusty.

"Wrong door, Kei-Lin," Stone Heart said over the intercom. "That's Eet's room." He was curious as to how Kei-Lin knew where the cabins were on his ship anyway, considering he hadn't ever used them, and his ship was not of the same layout as a normal ship. Had I *not* said to ask me if he wanted a room? He was more than a little irritated with that. He had stated to ask him, not just go waltz into one and assume it was his. "Hnnnh."
From his position in the cockpit, he hit a few buttons in on his console, and door one opened. It was the first one on the right of the starboard dormitories. The only one on the right wall. "I just opened a door for you. Room one. Now please, Kei-Lin, just ask before you just go running in there..." he said, his annoyance obvious. He closed his eyes, deciding maybe he'd get some sleep now, so long as nobody else stopped him.

Eet, who is good friends with Kei-Lin, is glad to have him share a cabin and asks him to stay.
Eet respectfully notes that if El Capitan does not want to give details, and does not give ideas to keep his crew occupied, they are going to find themselves something to do.

Stone Heart didn't respond. His eyes were open again, but behind his helmet, you couldn't tell. He was tired, but couldn't rest at all. No, his constant thinking kept him awake. His constant fighting kept him awake. His constant living kept him awake. He liked it better when he was asleep. He was in much less pain than when he was awake.
People didn't know it, but Stone Heart was in constant pain. That's where he got his strength. He used it to his advantage, helping him get angrier. When he got angrier, he got stronger. When he got stronger... He could wipe out an entire army in a matter of minutes. It was because between all his scars, his nearly destroyed leg, and his eye... It kept him in a constant state of trying to heal, and it hurt. Which is why he liked being lazy, why he liked sleeping... He didn't have to move. He didn't have to think. He didn't have to feel.
He hit the buttons that lowered the harness, and it was pulled away. He set the ship to autopilot as he stood up, and began walking into the main hold of the ship. He wanted to train. So, he'd go train.
He took a look at what looked like a vent on the floor. He slid his foot onto a ridge, then pulled his foot up. The vent was pulled up with it, revealing a set of stairs that led down into the training area. It'd be better than sitting around and waiting, for sure. "Holler if you need me."

Kei-Lin didn't mind staying in Eet's room, and she, apparently, wanted him to stay. Had the mutant cat decided she needed a bodyguard? He didn't know, but he didn't mind staying. Still... He knew better than to disobey an order from an Elder.
So he sent a message to Stone Heart via the device in his wrist computer: Is it okay if I stay with Eet? She seems to want a bodyguard all of a sudden... He sat in the corner with the container of harsh-smelling chemicals he used to polish his armor and waited for Stone Heart to send a reply.
